Lounge sofa by the study? Add HaloShort to your evening
A small sofa sits beside the home study, but papers and bags often take over. If the seat faces the TV, it can be a place to unwind with a short drama in the evening. Alongside apps such as Netflix, HaloShort offers a separate short-drama catalog.
Make this a comfortable place to sit
Choosing an office sofa or lounge seat for the home involves considering space, fabric, and whether it is easy to get in and out of the room. For watching TV, there is one more thing to check: whether you end up sitting sideways the whole time. If the furniture and screen already have fixed positions, you can start by adjusting the seat's orientation and how items are placed on the table.
The small table in front of the sofa does not need to be piled high either. Give the remote a spot that is easy to find, keep the cup area and the path for reaching things clear, and using this corner will not require moving a pile of stuff every time. When the TV plays a short segment, also check whether the lighting creates obvious glare.
No need for a whole evening—you can start with one episode
HaloShort is currently free to watch, and app information can be found at HaloShort, with downloads available through the Emotn store. Short dramas also come in different genres and paces; opening a specific title and watching a bit is more reliable than deciding whether to keep following it based only on the cover.
If you only plan to use this short stretch of free time, you can check the current episode's length and turn off autoplay. After watching, decide whether to continue or stop; if you want to pick it up next time, use local favorites and watch progress to find the content again.
If a friend drops by to sit for a while, you can also pause the current drama and leave the TV as it is. Whether this corner is usually used for reading, chatting, or watching short dramas, it does not need to be fixed to one purpose; making the existing seat and screen easier to use is enough.
